Riads in Marrakesh

Who has never heard about Riads, those small guests houses usually well decorated. Originally a riad means a big traditional residence, sometimes built for centuries. They are distinguished by a characteristic scale drawing, typical architectural scenery, this particularity to be opened from inside. To compensate for this architectural autarky special to the Arab Muslim culture tending towards intimacy, the arab residences are conceived of different but complementary spaces. So the house has before all a closing function.
