Who
has never heard about Riads, those small guests houses usually well decorated.
Originally a riad means a big traditional residence, sometimes built for
centuries. They are distinguished by a characteristic scale drawing, typical
architectural scenery, this particularity to be opened from inside. To
compensate for this architectural autarky special to the Arab Muslim culture
tending towards intimacy, the arab residences are conceived of different
but complementary spaces. So the house has before all a closing function.
The Moroccan house is opened on a patio or a garden well entertained,
a place for meditation and escape. It offers to its inhabitants a charming
scenery. We also call Riad, the whole buildings surrounding the garden.
This
phenomenon, well valued by the Europeans, highly contributed to the fame
of Marrakech. Nowadays there is a great number of high quality Riads and
others of less quality. whatever these love wasps implanted deep in the
city will make you discover Marrakech differently. Hided behind non attractive
walls, there are real palaces with a very rich architectural and handcrafts
scenery.
You
will have the pleasure to take a rest there and benefit from a personalised
and particular welcome known in every guests houses
Have
a good journey !
